How will our group travel during the trip?
We will travel via private motor coach from one location to the next throughout the entire trip.
What hotels will our group stay in?
See specific itineraries for individual hotel information.
What meals are included?
Breakfast is served every morning buffet style and includes a variety of choices. A number of lunches and dinners are also included - see specific itineraries for the exact information. Most included meals will offer a limited menu, but vegetarian options are always available if requested in advance. Novel Journeys will make every attempt to accommodate dietary restrictions, please indicate them when making initial reservations. Menu items are subject to change due to availability and seasonality of foods.
Are drinks included with meals?
Usually, water, tea and/or coffee are included with your meals that are included on the trip. A variety of juices is served at breakfast as well. Milk, sodas and alcoholic beverages are typically not included, and may be purchased at your own expense. Wine will be included with some of our scheduled meals, as indicated on your individual itineraries.
Are tips included?
Novel Journeys has taken care of gratuities for all included meals, motor coach drivers, and local guides. Tips for others, such as porters and housekeepers is at your own discretion.
Can I attend only part of the trip?
Price adjustments cannot be made for attending only part of the trip, therefore it is not cost effective to miss any part of the trip.
What about schedule changes?
Schedules may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances. Novel Journeys will notify you of any potential changes prior to your trip. Last minute changes will be handled by our staff at your destination.
Are there ways to avoid paying the single supplement?
In order to avoid the single supplement, you need to make Novel Journeys aware of any roommate choice so that we may adjust your invoice accordingly. Alternatively, we may be able to assist you in finding a roommate among the other single travelers on the trip. Please contact us for more details.
My minor child under the age of 18 is interested in going on the trip, can you accommodate her?
Novel Journeys welcomes unaccompanied minors at least 15 years of age on all of our trips. Unaccompanied minors will be subject to an additional $500 Chaperone fee. Feel free to contact Vanessa or Lisa with any additional questions and to discuss your specific needs.
When can I expect to receive my trip documents?
Each participant/family will receive all of the necessary travel documents approximately 20-30 days prior to departure.
Is airfare included in the trip price?
No, airfare is not included and travelers are responsible for making their own arrangements for air travel.

Should I purchase travel insurance?
Novel Journeys strongly recommends a travel protection program which provides cancellation coverage, medical coverage, and protection against lost or damaged luggage. Travel insurance is not included in the trip price.
